For many employees, benefits are one of the most valuable investments their employer makes in them.
However, benefits only create value when employees understand, trust, and actually use them.
That's why Benepass has always focused on delivering a simple web and mobile experience that helps employees access their benefits wherever they are in the world. Now,we're taking another step forward by making the Benepass web and mobile platform available in 57 languages, representing every primary language spoken by our current users.
Put simply: your benefits should speak your language. And now, they do.
Better Understanding Leads to Better Utilization
Employees can't use benefits they don't understand. They can't confidently spend benefit dollars if they're faced with unfamiliar terminology or need to rely on browser-based translation tools.
Making benefits easier to understand makes them easier to use. And when utilization improves, employers get more value from every benefit dollar they invest.
That's why language accessibility is a core part of creating a successful benefits program.
Employees around the globe can now access Benepass in a language they use every day to:
- Understand benefit details more easily
- Submit reimbursements with confidence
- Check balances and transactions on the go
- Spend benefit dollars faster and more effectively
Mobile Matters More Than Ever
Digital wallets are the world's leading payment method, accounting for 56% of global online spend and 33% of in-person spend in 2025, according to Worldpay.
The preference for digital extends to employee benefits, too. Employees want to check their balances while commuting or submit reimbursements from their phones. They need access to benefit information while traveling, working remotely, or between meetings.
Yet, many benefits platforms still prioritize desktop workflows or offer very limited mobile functionality.
Benepass was built differently. With a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Apple/iOS and a 4.2 on Android, Benepass users consistently praise the platform's ease of use and mobile experience.
Meaningful Translations, Including Right-To-Left Languages
Many platforms treat language support as an add-on. Typically, a translation widget gets added to a website and a browser extension handles the rest.
We believe employees deserve better.
Benefits contain financial, healthcare, and compliance terminology that requires proper context, not just word-for-word translation. Benepass's language offerings deliver a localized experience designed specifically for employee benefits.
Both the Benepass web and mobile platform are now available in 57 languages, covering every primary language spoken by our current customer base including right-to-left languages like Arabic, Hebrew, and Urdu.
Language direction changes are a large and complex undertaking. As users switch between left-to-right and right-to-left languages, the entire layout and content structure of the Benepass web and mobile app changes but stays accurate.
Benepass also uses intelligent sorting to map an employee's country to their primary language, placing the most relevant options at the top of the full language dropdown. Employees in the United States, for example, will see English and Spanish first, while employees in Belgium will see recommendations for French, German, and Dutch before searching the language list for any additional options they need.
When employees can select their preferred language, they use their benefits sooner, and with more confidence.
Language Parity for Every Current User With Room to Grow
Some benefits vendors focus on the most commonly spoken or easiest-to-translate languages like Spanish, French and other romance languages. And most vendors rely on browser-based translation tools. While these tools have improved in accuracy, they often struggle with non-European languages, local phrasing, and the nuanced terminology required for benefits. Browser-based translations are also slow, interfere with the product layout, and don’t usually cover mobile devices.
With in-app direct translations, Benepass focuses on the languages spoken across our customer footprint. This helps employees access benefits in the language they use every day and creates a more inclusive experience across countries and workforces.
Behind the scenes, Benepass’s localization infrastructure lets us expand language support quickly and consistently. AI supports the initial translation process while preserving meaning, context, readability, and benefits-specific terminology. Benepass then performs quality reviews.
As customer needs grow, Benepass can add languages quickly without sacrificing quality or the user experience.
Setting a New Global Standard
When infrastructure is built correctly, global accessibility becomes the standard rather than the exception.
By making benefits available in 57 languages across desktop and mobile, Benepass helps every employee feel valued, informed, and empowered to make the best financial decisions for themselves and their families.
